Alan leads Cycleplan as Chief Executive Officer, bringing a wealth of insurance expertise to the brand. With 26 years in the insurance industry and a Chartered Insurer (ACII) qualification, Alan combines strategic insight with 10 years’ experience in sports insurance.

His journey includes pioneering product development at Hiscox and Simply Business, where he helped shape innovative insurance solutions and led one of the first major Benefit Corporations in the UK. Alan also played a key role in introducing cyber insurance to the UK market and has consistently championed customer-first innovation.

Outside of work, Alan has also competed as a GB Age Group triathlete. Now with a year of experience in cycling insurance, Alan is focused on building Cycleplan into a trusted name for riders of all levels.
